Research Center - Apex Legends Fan Art

This project is my biggest so far ! It was done at Artside during a 6-weeks class given by Yoan Autin (https://www.artstation.com/yoan) and Gaëtan Perrot (https://www.artstation.com/korann). It was originally based on the concept made by Zack Lee (https://www.artstation.com/zacklee1) for Apex Legends. Even though it was sometimes frustrating, I had fun creating this whole environment from scratch ! I used Blender to 3D Model, Marmoset to bake by texture maps, Substance Painter and Designer for the texturing and everything is rendered in Unreal Engine 5.
The foliage is from the Electric Dreams project, and the texture of the ground outside is from Megascan.

I really learned a lot during this project, like the use of Distance Field to create a contact occlusion with the help of Kostia Perry, or create a smoke VFX using Niagara, UE shaders and noises.
